About Noor Academy
Noor Academy is an online Islamic education platform dedicated to helping Muslim children ages 5–18 learn Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies from the comfort of home. With a curriculum developed by expert educators and scholars, Noor Academy offers live classes, interactive lessons, and engaging content designed to build strong Islamic knowledge, character, and confidence in every child.
Noor Academy was established for kids by parents who know the struggles of teaching Islam consistently. We believe that learning should be fun and easy, capturing the child’s curiosity and driving them to learn even more!
It’s normal for a child to cry during their initial state at the kindergarten of semi-independence. Please remember that it’s a natural, healthy response to the love you’ve given them so far… For transitions and promotions, too, we create a plan that’s tailored to their personality traits.
Noor Academy isn’t just another online Islamic or Quran program — it’s a complete learning experience. Our specialized K–12 curriculum is designed to help your child thrive spiritually, academically, and morally. We don’t just teach Quran or Arabic — we nurture strong character, good manners, and a deep connection to Islam in every child.
All of Noor Academy’s teachers are from Egypt, having graduated from Al Azhar University or equivalent in their field of study.
Yes! We understand the disconnect children have when there is a language barrier, and that is why we test and certify that each teacher at Noor Academy is fluent and clear in speaking English.
Courses & Curriculum
Noor Academy follows our comprehensive K12 curriculum that teaches Arabic, Quran and Islamic Studies.
Our Islamic Studies course includes teaching Islamic character & manners, stories of the prophets, duas and when to say them, hadith, life lessons and more.
Our students range from age 4 to 18.
Yes, we do teach tajweed and Quran memorization classes.
Noor Academy has our own Noor Series curriculum that includes structured textbooks for Arabic, Quran and Islamic Studies.
Absolutely! Many of our students successfully learn Arabic even if it’s not spoken at home. Our program is designed for non-native speakers, so no prior exposure is needed. While extra practice outside of class is encouraged, fluency can be developed through our structured lessons and engaging learning methods — no Arabic-speaking environment required.
Class Details
All classes are live and one-on-one with a teacher online.
Generally, classes are 30 minutes each or 1 hour.
We have teachers that are available around the clock. When you first sign up, you are able to specify your days and times for classes and our portal will match you with a teacher that fits your schedule.
If you have a specific teacher you would like to be scheduled with, you can contact our student support team and we will help you fit into their schedule.
All of our classes are currently one-on-one live online.
After each class, your teacher records your daily grades and assignments. In addition to also taking tests throughout the course, our portal has special technology and reports to assess the progress of the student. We have student advisors monitoring the progress and ready to step in if your child is struggling to keep up.
Technology & Access
Noor Academy has our own portal that gives you access to your course materials, assignments, fun games and activities to support your learning, direct messaging with your teacher and much more! You can also download our app for easy access to your classes.
A computer/laptop, phone or tablet is all you need to access your classes.

Parental Involvement
Parents do not need to attend with their child, but we encourage you to stay nearby the younger children just in case of technical difficulties.

Yes — all of our teachers go through a thorough screening process. We carefully vet each instructor to ensure they have strong moral character, a passion for teaching, and a deep understanding of Islamic values. Our quality assurance team also conducts regular class reviews to ensure a safe, effective, and positive learning experience for every child.
Yes, very little information about your child is stored in their account and teachers and staff have limited access.
Some classes may be recorded and reviewed and other times, a supervisor may pop in to check on your classes.
