Find a convenient time to meet with your child and make it a daily or weekly appointment. It’s better if they’re not tired or sleepy.
Prepare them by saying that they’ll learn something important to grab their attention.
Start with slowly reciting the bismillah, syllable by syllable, and have your child repeat with you. Make them listen to audio materials that say it correctly.
After bismillah, begin with ikhlas surah in the last Juz. it’s easy to recite as well as memorize. Read the first verse of the surah aloud to your kids and ask them to repeat it after you.
Continue doing this until the surah is finished.
Give them simple rewards after they successfully learn every Surah.

The time it takes to learn to read Quran depends on (a) your age and (b) the time you dedicate to the learning process.
A 5-to-8 years old child will be able to flawlessly read Quran within 3 years. While a 10-to-13 years old child will achieve that in less than 2 years. Adults can learn how to read Quran in less than a year.

“[Say, O Muhammad], “I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city, who made it sacred and to whom [belongs] all things. And I am commanded to be of the Muslims [those who submit to Allah] And to recite the Qur’an.” And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays – say, “I am only [one] of the warners.”
